FAQs

How do I find my soldier's photos on www.FtBenningPhotos.com?

We do not post these images to this or any website. Portrait Proofs can be requested by sending an email to Support@FtBenningPhotos.com. We do not provide proofs of any other images including AGSU (Dress Uniform) or Platoon Photos. Please include the information below in your OCP portrait proof request.

When selecting products, use the drop down menus to choose the Company, Battalion, Regiment, Platoon and select the Graduation Date (must be within 9 months of order date) of your SIT. Please use your SIT's legal name and not any nicknames or abbreviations (nicknames and abbreviations are acceptable on customizable prints in the free text fields for those products).

To locate images of your SIT's unit in Drills and Field Training Exercises (FTX) please visit our Military Activity site www.BasicTrainingPhotos.com.

How do I find out my soldier’s Company/Battalion/Regiment name & number?

That information will come from your soldier in training (usually in the form of a phone call or letter home). As the photography company on base, we are not provided with individual information.

We do not catalog units by their nicknames/mottos so the correct company, battalion, infantry regiment, platoon and grad date (turning blue date) will be needed to place an order.

If your SIT was transfered or recycled at any time during training, we recommend learning which platoon they were photographed with, using that information when ordering, and visiting our FAQ page prior to ordering. Please include the information regarding the Unit changes in the notes of your order at the cart.

Which graduation date should I enter when placing my order?

Please use your trainees final graduation date from all training at Fort Benning (Turning Blue for OSUT). We catalog trainees by their final graduation date and NOT their Turning Green date when on a OSUT cycle. When ordering the Warrior Print or a package that contains this print, the date submitted with your order will be the date printed on the Warrior Print. We are not responsible to replace items that have printed with the date submitted with your order.

My SIT is training with a Troop and not a Company, what selection do I make?

We do not have a field for "Troop" in our soldier credential fields. Please use the corresponding letter of your Troop in the "Company" field.

My SIT is training with a Squadron/Cavalry Regiment, what selection do I make?

We do not have a field for "Squadron/Cavalry Regiment" in our soldier credential fields. Please use the Battalion/Regiment field and select the corresponding Squadron/Cavalry Regiment for your SIT's unit.

My OSUT SIT completed basic in one Unit and this Unit was then renamed for AIT. What unit should I enter for my order?

There have been an increasing number of units that have conducted Basic Training in one unit and then the same soldiers/unit are named a different unit for AIT. Orders placed for the original basic unit will still be processed accurately, however, if your SIT's platoon number changes we will not be made aware. We do not receive record of which Soldiers are transferred to each platoon so we recommend contacting us by emailing support@ftbenningphotos.com as soon as you learn of a transfer of unit/platoon. We are not responsible for incorrect products received because of these transfers/unit name changes if we have not been provided the update by our customer.

Why is the grad date on my Warrior Print different from the grad date on the Platoon Photo?

The graduation date that prints on the Platoon Photo is the (Turning Blue) date that the ARMY has officially designated as the (Turning Blue) OSUT graduation date for a given unit. The My Fort Benning Warrior Print 8x10 will print with the grad date that you submit with your order. We are not responsible to replace items that have printed with the date submitted with your order.

Can you tell me what my soldier ordered on base to avoid ordering duplicates?

We are unable to provide personal information of any kind about your soldier. It is important to note that FtBenningPhotos.com features different product offerings than those available on base with the exception of the Unit Group Photo 8" x 10" (the base offers the 11" x 14" ), the Calendar, Coffee Mugs, Training Slideshow USB, and the Soldier's Creed (the base offers the 11" x 14" ).  Please note: The OCP Photo bundle that is included within many of our packages does include prints that are similar to the "reception package" offered on base, however, FtBenningPhotos.com offers a unique size configuration of prints than those available to your soldier on base. We always recommend communicating with your soldier before placing an order.

I'd like to order a single print or create a custom package of certain print sizes.

We can only sell the products and packages currently offered on FtBenningPhotos.com per our agreement with Fort Benning.

Can I ship my order to my SIT at Fort Benning?

We DO NOT recommend having your order sent to your trainee at Fort Benning. Some items may not be available or arrive and process through Fort Benning until your trainee has already moved on. Also, Drill Sergeant's limitations on items allowed can result in items being returned. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE TO REPLACE ORDERS THAT HAVE BEEN SHIPPED TO FORT BENNING AND ARE RETURNED AS UNDELIVERABLE. If your order is returned to us, we may require additional shipping and handling fees to re-ship your order to a deliverable address.

My Soldier started in one company (battalion/infantry regiment/platoon, etc) and then transferred to another because of an injury or issues associated with Covid-19. What set of information should I provide?

We recommend using the most current information when placing your order, however, please note: If your soldier has been transferred at any time in BCT/AIT and your order contains the Unit Group Photo 8" x 10" or a package that contains the Unit Group Photo 8" x 10", we recommend communicating with your soldier to learn which Unit/Platoon your soldier was photographed with before ordering and use those credentials when placing your order. We are not responsible for the cost to replace and ship the Unit Group photo if the print we sent was for the Unit submitted with your order.

If your SIT was transfered or recycled at any time during training, we recommend learning which platoon they were photographed with, using that information when ordering, and visiting our FAQ page prior to ordering. Please include the information regarding the Unit changes in the notes of your order at the cart.

My soldier attends both BCT & AIT at Fort Benning. Which grad date do I use to place my order?

Since Fort Benning is a one station unit training facility (OSUT) the graduation dates we use to identify all soldiers are their final graduation date from Fort Benning (graduation from both BCT & AIT or Turning Blue Date). All SITs do not attend both BCT & AIT at Fort Benning so just remember to use the final grad date when placing your order.

How do I place an order?

Select your item(s) and be sure to include your SIT's Legal Name, Company, Battalion, Regiment, Platoon and final Graduation Date from Fort Benning (date of completion of both BCT & AIT) in the fields on the product page.

We need all of this information to locate and create prints & other customized items that include the photos of your SIT.

How long does it take to fulfill my order?

We typically photograph the portrait of your SIT within the first phase of reception at Fort Benning. We then edit/process these images which can take up to 3 weeks from reception. Once an order is placed and an image is finalized, we create the prints, slideshows, and other products which can take up to 3 weeks from your order date. Platoon photo sessions can occur at any time during training so the unavailability of this image may extend the turnaround time for your order. (The Recruit Training Slideshow may ship after graduation.)

Although most orders will ship within 3 weeks from order date, delays in photographing have become common due to Covid 19. We are working through these Covid 19 setbacks to ship orders no later than 1 week after graduation whenever possible.

Delays due to COVID-19 illness and policies on base have become common. This applies to both portraits and action photos found on BasicTrainingPhotos.com. We do our best to take photos of all SITs and all activities, however, with Ft. Benning's COVID-19 policies we are sometimes limited to the frequency, access to activities, and dates we are able to photograph your SIT. Our Recruit Training Slideshow USB Flash Drives feature photographs of SITs during training as well as their portraits. Although we do our absolute best to get images of all recruits in action, the possibility of not capturing your recruit on camera still exists. You can see the activity photos we use on our Slideshow USB Flash Drive of your recruit in action on our Military Action website, BasicTrainingPhotos.com.

I can't select my Soldier's Graduation date from the Calendar on the product pages?

We are only able to fulfill orders for 9 months after graduation. If you cannot select the Month, Day, and Year of your Soldier's graduation date, we cannot fulfill your order.

Do I have to wait until Graduation to place my order?

No, as soon as you know your SIT's Unit credentials you can place your order. We may not be able to fulfill certain orders or portions of orders until close to or after graduation but we can process the order at any time.

I've heard of other families of SITs from my SIT's Unit have received their orders, where is my order?

Turnaround times for orders are unique for each order and dependant upon many factors. These factors include OCP reception photo session schedules, order date, graduation dates, products/packages in an order, production schedules, etc. We do not send updates as orders are being produced, however, we will always send an email when orders have been shipped from our facility.

You can also view the current status of your order by clicking "View Your Order" in your original Order Confirmation Email. This Order Status page will always include real time information on your order status even if our emails cannot reach you for any reason.

I've ordered or sent a question to support with my HOTMAIL, OUTLOOK, MSN, or LIVE email address and haven't received a confirmation/response?

Due to the spam settings that Hotmail.com, MSN.com, Live.com and Outlook.com servers use, we are unable to successfully correspond with email addresses from these domains. These messages can also be sent to Spam or Junk folders. Please check there and mark our emails as "This is not junk/spam". We recommend using an alternate email address not provided by microsoft domain servers if possible when placing orders and corresponding with our team. It is also possible that you have misspelled your email address when placing an order or when using our website's contact form. Please email support@ftbenningphotos.com to update your email address for your order.

I found images of my SIT on BasicTrainingPhotos.com. How do I order prints of these images?

We do not create prints of activity images found on BasicTrainingPhotos.com. Once subscribed, you can download images for personal use.

I'd like to cancel my order.

Cancellations must be made within 5 days of order placement for a full refund. Once your order has shipped we cannot refund/cancel until the complete order is returned to us.

I'd like to order items of 2 or more different soldiers or order products of 2 or more different units?

Each order can only refer to 1 soldier or 1 unit's credentials. To order for multiple soldiers or units please place a separate order for each soldier or unit.

My order contained a Recruit Training Slideshow USB Flash Drive and/or Unit Group Photo and I did not receive these items with my prints?

Because these Slideshow productions are not finalized until the end of a cycle, we may ship these products at a later date than the rest of the prints in your order. Due to scheduling, these products may ship after graduation.

Platoon photo sessions can occur at any time during training so the unavailability of this image may extend the turnaround time for your order as we will hold your order until these Platoon images are ready to print.

I received my Recruit Training Slideshow USB and can't access the photos?

The Slideshow USBs do not contain individual image files. Individual images cannot be pulled from the Slideshow USB. The Slideshow production is a single MP4 or M4V video file that can only open/play on devices that support video playback.

Do you service AIT?

Unfortunately, we do not photograph AIT, we only capture Basic Combat Training (BCT). However, since Fort Benning is a one station unit training facility (OSUT) the graduation dates we use to identify soldiers is their final graduation date from Fort Benning (graduation from both BCT & AIT). Please use this date when ordering.

How long do you archive photos for?

We are only able to archive photos for 9 months from graduation date.

Do you provide a digital download option?

At this time we do not offer digital downloads for any of our portrait products found on FtBenningPhotos.com. To view and download action images of your soldier in training's unit at Fort Benning, visit BasicTrainingPhotos.com and register for an account.

I'd like to order prints of my trainee in Dress Uniform (AGSU/Pinks & Greens)?

My Ft. Benning Warrior Print has the wrong name/typo under my soldier's image?

The My Fort Benning Warrior Print includes the soldier's name under their portrait, printed on two lines. We provide fields that allow our customers to enter a name how they would like it displayed on these top and bottom lines with a limit of 18 characters in each field. The exact characters that are entered in the provided fields will print exactly as they are entered in these fields upon ordering. If you enter incomplete or inaccurate information, we are not responsible for the cost to replace this print.

Do you photograph all soldiers and all activities/field training exercises for each unit that are then included in the Recruit Training USB Slideshow?

No. We do our best to photograph as many soldiers and activities as we can within the guidelines set forth by Ft. Benning, however, we cannot guarantee to capture images of all soldiers and/or all activities of each unit.
